SSMPoliceCity Police received a call early Monday morning about a complaint of a domestic assault.  It’s alleged that a 31 year old male attended the address of his estranged wife and entered the home.  Police arrived some time after that — the victim received medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.  Officers located the accused at the residence, where he was taken into custody without incident.  The male faces charges of sexual assault, forcible confinement, assault and mischief.  The accused is scheduled to appear in bail court on Tuesday.

Police also report ‘tags’ spray-painted on a home and vehicle overnight Sunday night on Charles Street.  A snow thrower was stolen from a residence on Second Avenue sometime Monday morning.
