[SAULT STE. MARIE, ON] Thanks to overwhelming community support, the Sault Rotaract Club was able to create and
deliver over 75 holiday care packs and a handful of hygiene packs last week to St. Vincent’s Place, Breton House, Ken
Brown Recovery Home and the Neighbourhood Resource Centre.
Each care pack started with a sturdy backpack the recipient can continue to use when they leave the shelter, and contained
a variety of hygiene, entertainment and comfort items. In addition to this, the club was able to contribute several
additional boxes of overflow items, including travelsized
toiletries, shaving supplies, additional backpacks and duffel
bags, and more.
The club would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone in the community who contributed to this project.
Thank you to the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, the Rotary Office staff, and both ScotiaBank branches for their efforts
with the community collection of items and donations.
Thank you to the Sault College Athletics Department for providing the space to store items and pack the care packs.
Finally, they would like to especially thank the following individuals and businesses for their generous contributions:
