Algoma Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha has written a letter to Mayor Provenzano, expressing concerns over plans to reduce the size of the city’s firefighter contingent as a way of bolstering the EMS component.   He notes the working relationship the Sault Fire Department has with outlying areas – and how in times of crisis, lives could be at stake.   He’s calling on the Mayor to support the firefighters call for a Comprehensive Integrrated Risk Management Study before any final decision is made.
