SSMPoliceCity Police made an arrest on Thursday after responding to a call from Canada Customs about a driver who had been pulled over.  An investigation revealed that the accused was on conditions that prohibited him from driving in Canada.  72 year old Jean-Louis Denis of Thunder Bay was charged with disqualified driving and is scheduled to appear in court on January 4th.

Anishinabek Police are investigating a break and enter to a residence in the 500 block of Highway 17B in Garden River.  The incident happened on Wednesday — a large chest with collectible items, electronic equipment and a 50 inch television were stolen.  Anyone with any information on this crime is asked to call the Anishinabek Police or their local police service.
