City Police advise motorists to slowdown – it’s winter!   They were called out to 16 accidents yesterday afternoon – primarily due to drivers not adjusting.  City crews have been out early this morning … but streets still tend to be icy, so you’ll want to take care … and more snow is expected this morning to make things abit more slippery. Highways look to be in good shape … bare and dry  to the east … Highway 17 North is bare and dry to wet with some snow covered sections.   Michigan had alot of snow over the weekend nearly a foot-and-a-half of snow on some parts of southeast Michigan, knocked out power to thousands and left roadways a mess … resulting in several accidents but no reports of any fatalities.  Chippewa County is expecting 2 – 6 inches of fresh snow today with roads already snow covered and slick.
