The province has released the first round of successful bidders for the sale of beer in grocery stores – and aside from the large corporations of Walmart, Metro and Loblaws who all operate stores in the city – Pino’s has also been successful in its bid and will be eligible to sell beer.  To move forward with selling beer, these companies will have to apply to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to seek authorization for individual store locations.  Up to 60 grocery store locations could be authorized to sell beer by December 2015.
