The Ontario Government is looking at expanding the spring bear hunt for another five years and exapnding it beyond the initial trial areas to all 88 Wildlife Management Units that currently have a fall bear hunt.   The spring hunt would also be open to resident and non resident hunters alike.    The extension will allow the province to gather more information, support economic growth and tourism and hopefully better address the nuisance bear problem.
