SportsThe Soo Greyhounds edged the Saginaw Spirit 5-4 in OHL pre-season play.  The Soo Thunderbirds remain undefeated in the NOJHL at 4 and 0 after edging the Timmins Rock 4-3 last night.  Matt Pinder, Matt Mitchell, Nathan Hebert and Zach Senecal scored for the winners.  Matt Caruso added two assists in the victory.  Lake State were swept in three straight sets by Michigan Tech last night in men’s GLIAC volleyball.  Lakers are at Northern Michigan this afternoon, before hosting Northwood on Sunday.
