Supplied by the Sault and District Labour Council… Recognizing 56 years as “The Voice of Organized Labour” the Sault Ste. Marie and District Labour Council, affiliates and stakeholders will mark Labour Day by inviting the public and calling all Labour Union members to a FREE Workers Appreciation Family and Friends Event at the Roberta Bondar Park and Pavilion on Monday, September 7th, 2015. This year’s theme is “Fairness for All”.

The parade of flags will kick off the day’s events at 11:30 am beginning from the Bondar Pavilion parking lot, east on Foster Dr. continuing on Russ Ramsay way, north on Brock, west on Queen, south on Elgin and back. Parade participants are asked to assemble at 11:15am at the pavilion.

To top this off, local labour unions will provide fun family activities beginning at noon with FREE food and refreshments by the M&M’s Barbecue crew, face painting, balloon art, minnow races, fish pond, giant bubbles, cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones.
