ForestFireThe Ministry of Natural Resources reported at least two new fires in the Northeast region on Tuesday.  Concern continues over Sudbury 38.  It remains at about 438 hectares in size and crews are making some progress with rain falling over the last few days.  21 crews were expected to be assigned to that blaze as of late Wednesday afternoon.  Sudbury 38 is about 50 percent contained thanks to rain falling over the last few days — an Emergency Area Order implemented around that fire remains in effect. There are 13 fires burning in Northeastern Ontario right now — two are not under control, two are being held, nine others are being observed, mostly in the far north.
