SRCAThe Sault Ste. Marie Region Conservation Authority had their monthly meeting this week.  Among the highlights were a presentation involving Union Gas with 2 thousand dollars to be spent on new signage at Fort Creek.  Sault Ste. Marie District MNR officers now have the authority to lay charges for offences committed on conservation authority property, under authority regulations.  This would involve situations on C-A property involving all-terrain vehicles, firearms and fires.  It was also announced on Tuesday that the authority’s Source Protection Plan — aimed at protecting the Sault’s drinking water — was officially implemented on July 1st.
