DNRThe Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced its next round of funding for the Aquatic Habitat Grant Program.  About 1.25 million dollars is available for this year.  The program is focused on supporting project that protect intact aquatic habitat and rehabilitate degraded habitat.  Funding is available through an open process to all levels of government, nonprofit groups and individuals.  This applies for both single and multiple year projects.   Minimum grant amounts are set at 25 thousand dollars — pre-proposals must be submitted to the DNR’s Fisheries Division before August 28th.  Applicants will be notified by September 30th — those that are successful will be invited to submit a full application.  An invitation to submit a full application does not necessairily guarantee project funding.
