City Police arrested 31 year old Mark Strain of Second Line – already on probation – in connection with a breakin to a home … as well as assaulting police.   Three males – aged 19, 47 and 36 were charged inconnection with domestic problems.

Police were called to the Wigle Street neighbourhood just after midnight regarding a suspicious male in a backyard – attempting to break into a shed … given a description of the suspect they soon after caught up with a 17 year old boy who was taken into custody.
A home in the 3000 block of Queen Street East was broken into at some point yesterday and a jewellery box and it’s contents stolen.  An attempted break in was reported to a home on Martingale Court.  And two trailers were damaged – one of them entered – in the 1000 block of Great Northern Road.

The canine unit was able to track down a suspect inconnection with yesterday’s investigation in the Nixon Road area … with 50 year old Frank Caicco of Cooper Street charged inconnection with a break in to a home in the 1500 block of Third Line West and the theft of several items including a laptop, an Xbox, alcohol and a chainsaw.  He was apprehended while trying to pull a knife out of his pocket.
